SZENTENDRE

Szentendre is a small baroque city in a beautiful natural setting. Within a half an hour drive from Budapest we reach this picturesque Artist's Village. During a guided walk you will get to know the major sights of the city and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view from the hill in the center. You will also have the chance to taste a Hungarian speciality ”langos”. Afterwards in your free time you will have the opportunity to go for shopping or to visit one of the many museums and galleries of this charming little town. During the summer period (between the 1st of May and the 30th of September) we return to Budapest on the Danube by boat.
The tour ends at the pier in the city centre.

Visit to the largest baroque palace of Hungary in Gödöllő. After a half an hour drive from Budapest we arrive to the former summer residence of Queen Elisabeth (Sisi) and Franz Joseph (Habsburg Emperor & Hungarian king 1867-1916). This interior visit and the tour through the gardens of the Chateau, gives you a glimpse of times under the Austro-Hungarian Empire. With the help of our guide you will become acquainted with the secrets of the private life, the hidden doors, bedrooms and lovers of the royal couple. After the visit of the permanent exhibition and the short walk in the garden you will have a bit of free time that you can use to have a drink in the cafe of the palace or buy some typical souvenirs.

DANUBE BEND

The Danube Bend – an excursion into Hungary’s history. This is an unforgettable tour along the ’’Blue Danube” with stops in Visegrád, Esztergom and Szentendre.
Esztergom: The Northern gate of Hungary – the centre of the Catholic Church. We visit the largest cathedral of Hungary (also burial place of famous cardinals of Hungary, like Primate József Mindszenty). Afterwards, we glance across the river and enjoy the view over to Slovakia.
Visegrád: We drive up to the top of the hill to enjoy the beautiful panormic view of the Danube valley and the surrounding area. In your free time you can visit one of the main attractions of the town, the medieval fortress from the 13th century on the hilltop or you can enjoy a lunch in a typical restaurant.
Szentendre: On the way back we stop in the artist's village of Szentendre. It is a small baroque city in a beautiful natural environment. We walk around the baroque settlement and go up the narrow streets to the panorama point to see the Danube. You can also visit museums (for example the Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum, the Marzipan Museum) or do some shopping.
During the summer (between the 1st of May and the 30th of September) we return to Budapest on the Danube by boat.

Spend an unforgettable day in the Puszta! First we drive to Kecskemé where we walk around the beautiful downtown and visit the most important sights (guided walk). From Kecskemét, we drive to a traditional Hungarian farm. We’ll be welcomed with the famous Hungarian ”barackpálinka” (apricot brandy) and ”pogácsa” (salty cake). After we go for a carriage ride through the Puszta. The program continues with a traditional horse show, which includes several breathtaking field performances. You are then invited for a three-course lunch including the famous Hungarian goulash soup, accompanied by Hungarian gipsy music.

Balaton, the “Hungarian sea” is one of the largest lakes is Europe and the main holiday destination in Hungary. The first stop of this excursion is Herend where we visit the world famous porcelain manufactory and you will learn the different phases how this fine porcelain is made. Afterwards you will have possibility to shop in the factory store. The second stop is the Tihany Peninsula, the first nature reserve of Hungary. After the guided walk in the charming little town on the peninsula in your free time you will have the possibility to visit the famous monastry founded in 1055 and do some souvenir shopping. The last stop of this excursion is the oldest spa resort by the lake, Balatonfüred. During the excursion there will be a lunch break to enjoy a delicious Hungarian meal.
